HW 3-30 Haiku

Bonded by love and grief Death do us part no one believes Wedding rings dismantled This Haikuks words make the poem both flow and have meaning. It shows the power of love is able to stand even if one spouse has died. The memories of loved ones are always present with us. By dismantling the wedding ring, this shows progression with the living spouse moving on from the past but cherishing the memories. Stones skips across the lake Now lies cold beneath the waters floor Once a happy stone Being on top does not mean you will always be on top. I can relate this poem to real life. What goes up must come down. No one is happy 100% throughout there entire life. Everyone experiences dark days and the stone falling to the waters floor symbolizes that. However, someone may always be 5ere to pick you up.

Clap next to a trap taking a nap on the lap slap him with the strap I like this Haiku Yun wrote becuase I can hear his voice in my head. This poem is something I can definitely see Yun write. The rhyme scheme is carried throughout the entire poem, which I liked. All together I count 6 rhymes which is a lot compared to some other classmates work. In Class Writing 3-9

Girls Problems: Portraying Juliet's Inner Turmoil and Outer Conflict Onstage A: 5 Literary analysis B: 9 Performance C: 3 Language Total: 17 This students thesis statement is easy to locate within a nice overview of the play in the first paragraph. This students gives lots of quotes that help further support their thesis and add to the literary analysis. The students gives multiple examples of perfjoamcne details in their work which gives me a further understanding in what they were trying to portray in their essay. The language and sentence structure was not great. I feel there where some run on sentences where ideas could of been better put out. Could of used more stage terms, and the entire paper seemed to drag a bit. A Reflexion of Transitioning Character Study from Paper to Stage A: 4 Literary analysis B: 9.5  Performance C: 4.5 Language Total: 18 Thesis is clearly stated, and is concise to the point. Essay 3rd Draft TGM

Josh Comune Ms. Guarino  IB Lit  Performance  February 27, 2018 The Rise & Fall of Laura's Character Stemmed off the Presence of Jim O'Connor    In the play  The Glass Menagerie,  the   highlighted theme of Laura's character throughout the play is hopelessness. Since high school, Laura has never been able to overcome her inferiority complex and escape the realms of her home.  Act 2 Scene 8 is a changing point in the constant theme of  hopelessness in  Laura's life.  Why is this you may ask? The main reason for Laura's change is solely based off of Jim O'Connor, who is an old crush of Laura back from high school and is reintroduced in Act 2 Scene 8.  Once Jim tells Laura they can't be together at the end of the scene, Laura will again find herself in the same hopeless position she has always been in.  From the moment Jim O'Connor enters the play, he has an ...

Self-Eval In Class 3-6

Literary Analysis: 4 I pulled out a decent amount of quotes from both Laura and Jim's dialogue. My quotes are both explained  in deeper context, and how it relates to my original point of my essay to prove how Jim's actions and lines make Laura progress and digress in character development throughout the scene. ' Perf: 5 I feel majority of my essay is on my performance. The essay is mostly composed of examples of my performance and it walks through the entire scene. I give multiple examples on how I use the stage as Jim to show his characters personality. I think the way I outlined my performance highlights my literary analysis so far. Language 3: I have about 1,900 words as of now. I feel organization can be the part where I should focus on in my next revision. My grammar is not great, so I should be mindful of that moving forward. However, I feel I did use some stage terms when writing (ex. center down stage, etc.) but feel I can use more for my third re...

Josh Comune Ms. Guarino  IB Lit  Performance  February 27, 2018 The Rise and Fall of Laura's Character Stemmed off the Presence of Jim O'Connor    In the play  The Glass Menagerie,   the   highlighted theme of Laura's character throughout the entire play is hopelessness. Act 2 Scene 8 proves to be a changing point of this constant for Laura. However, her  character's  progression is solely based off of Jim O'Connors  actions and lines throughout  Act 2 Scene 8.  Once Jim tells Laura they can never be together at the end of the scene , Laura will again find herself in the same hopeless position she has always been in.   Jim proves to be the one shot for Laura to find love in her life. Jim's character is seen as a potential spouse for Laura by Tom and Amanda. From the moment Jim O'Connor enters the play, he has an effect on Laura. The literary analysis I am going to explore througho...
