List of things that need to improve:
Cues
Staging
Better music
More emotion
Blocking
Knowing what to do on stage
Interaction between performance
Better props


List of things that need were good:
Length of performance
Good job with lighting and cue for lighting
Sound effects good



When we rewatched our groups performance, we all came up with some good ideas on what to improve on

#1 emotion. (dry)  Our group greatly struggles with. Each actor struggled with trying to portray the emotions there characters were supposed to feel in each scene so we put more attention on this an getting the lines 100% correct

Our group worked on improving staging
   -with implementing new stage directions, cues, and actions we are hoping to give our performance new life and make it a more enjoyable experience for the audience.

For example,  scenes and dialogues may have started in other places on stage but all have there climaxes down stage.   This makes the performance dynamic



The most important take aways from our scene were to have fun and be loser with the acting and movements on stage. Some scenes really feel genuine now

these are problems are easy to identify but are harder to fix

it takes a entire group effort and everyone needs to be on the same page.

Overall Our group had the foundation of what our scene should be, but the actual performance

Footloose Review of Winter Musical

On Wednesday night February 27th, I decided to attend the Cheshire Academy varsity production of the musical "Footloose" in the black box theater. This was a dress rehearsal for the actual performance that took place on the first weekend of March. "Footloose" was written by Dean Pitchford, and Walter Bobbie in 1998. Setting: Caribbean Island Island: Jewel of the Antilles Rich- don't believe in Gods/modernized/French  Peasants people- old ways/religion rural setting/workplace for most likely slaves Characters: Asaka- godess of earth and all growing things Agwe- God of sea and all the waters M. In class writing 5-7

Something that made each poetry recital unique is the performance and interpretations each actor had for their poems. Poetry is very adaptive and can be recited in many ways. For example, Leslie and Nan’s performances really stood out to me becuase they chose to sing verses of their poems. The music they chose had no relation to the original poem, but they made it flow as if the poem was perfect for the song. Their performances turned out great, and were by far my favorites of the class! Jack’s recital and performance I felt was kind of dry. He displayed very little movement on stage, and he was very hard to hear. Both of these things effective his overall performance negatively.
