Tom Wingfield- Narrator of the play, son of Amanda, and brother of Laura. He is also a poet and likes adventures. uptight, and smokes a lot. works in a shoe warehouse, and is the provider of the family, goes to late night movies every night and gets drunk to escape his mother, and likes magic

Amanda Wingfield- mother of Tom and Laura, she is very annoying. Very uptight about her children, and was the provider before Tom. She tries to run her children's lives, Tries to push Laura into marriage

Laura Wingfield- oldest sister, and worries she will die along with no spouse. She had pleurosis which gave her a bad leg, she is limited

Jim- Laura's high school crush who callled her "Blue Roses" because that what he thought she said when she told him she had pleurosis

O'Conner- the gentlemen caller Tom has arranged for Laura

Emily Meisenbach- the girl Jim went out with, and got engaged to according to the newspaper. Laura didn't care much for her

Father- left the family a long time ago, but lives through a picture hanging on the wall

Bates- Amanda talked about him in a story and said how she was romantically involved with him. He was killed
