How to Write Meaty Paragraphs




This is how to add bulk to my writing


1) Topic Sentence: introduce topic, write about it

2) Explanation/discussion of ideas (1-3 sentences)

3) Evidence ---> literary analysis: direct quotes from book, specific examples

**4) Analyze evidence--> explain what it means/shows you, explain how it helps you prove your point, explain why this is important what is relevant of your argument

5) Ending sentence---> conclusion/wrap-up remind us of the argument (1-2 sentences)

My Experience with Our Modern Adaptation of R&J

I felt my personal performance in our modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet was solid. I played Tybalt whose character had to protray a furious but yet comedic feel. I felt I could of done a better job with mastering my lines, but our entire movie kind of turned into a devised project. Watching the performance on video made me realize small subtle things I could fix. In one scene I looked at the camera when I was supposed to be focuses on Ivan. Lucky we caught this and re-shot the scene. Our group ran off with the idea of mocking the deaths of the main male characters. I felt I was the unspoken director of the group. I tried my hardest to keep everyone on task and try and meet deadlines. Our group found it extremely hard to be on the same page with scheduling. Troy Mr. Death monologue

Alright..... Mr. death. I'm gonna tell you what ima do. Ima build me a fence around this yard here. You see? Im gonna build me a fence around what belongs to me. And I want you to stay on the other side. You stay over there until you're ready for me. Then come out, and bring everything you got. You not gonna sneak up on me anymore. When the top of your list say Troy Maxon that's when you come around here. Ain't nobody else got nothing to do with this. This is between you and me. Man to man. You stay on that other side of that fence until your ready for me. Then you come and knock on that front door. Anytime you want. I'll be ready for you. I will be Troy in this monologue. This monologue takes place after Troy has found out that Alberta has died and his daughter has been born.
